How QuotePitStop Makes Money
QuotePitStop is a lead-generation service paid by insurance partners when you request quotes. How that works, what it changes and what it does not change.
QuotePitStop is a lead-generation service. We are paid by insurance partners when you request quotes through our site. That is how we pay for the research and writing on these pages, and it is our only line of business.
How it works
Some pages include a short form or a link to request car insurance quotes. If you fill in the form, we send the details you provide to one or more insurance partners, such as insurers, agents or other companies that connect drivers with insurers. Those partners pay us for the request. They may then contact you with quotes.
Every form and quote link on the site carries this disclosure next to it: QuotePitStop is a lead-generation service and is paid by insurance partners when you request quotes. Quote links are marked as sponsored links.
We do not charge readers anything. Reading an article does not send any information to an insurer; only submitting a quote request does. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how it is shared.
What we are not
We are not an insurance company, agent or broker. We do not sell policies, give binding prices or decide whether anyone is accepted for coverage; those decisions belong to the insurer. A quote you receive from a partner is that company's offer, on its terms, and it can change after the insurer reviews your details. We cannot guarantee any price.
How payment relates to what we write
Because we are paid when readers request quotes, we keep the editorial rules strict. Articles do not recommend, rank or steer readers toward a particular insurer. They do not promise savings. Figures come from cited sources with a confidence label, as described in our methodology. Articles stand on their own: each one answers its question fully whether or not a reader ever uses the form.
